Bullitt, Wuthering Heights among 25 films added to national registry for posterity

Washington, Dec 28 (ANI): The Library of Congress has announced the list of 25 films that it has picked up and added to its national registry this year.

The list, which was announced by Librarian of Congress James H. Billington, includes films like &#39Back to the Future,&#39 &#39Bullitt,&#39 &#39Close Encounters of the Third Kind,&#39 &#39Days of Heaven&#39 and &#39Dances With Wolves.&#39

The 25 films selected films bring the registry total to 475, reports Variety.

Each year the Librarian of Congress chooses 25 &#39culturally, historically or aesthetically&#39 significant films for the registry to be preserved for all time.

Among the other films selected this year are &#39The Naked City,&#39 &#39In a Lonely Place,&#39 &#39Oklahoma!&#39 &#3912 Angry Men,&#39 &#39The Strong Man,&#39 and &#39The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.&#39
